travel insurance after operation in january

hi looking for travel insurance for me and my Husband for 1 week in Turkey. Bit of background Im 56 no medical conditions and not on any medication. My Husband is 58 , he had hip replacement on 23/1 . He ended up with general anaesthetic due to them being unable to insert epidural. his hip healed nicely but hes been left breathless. an xray showed fluid/infection bottom of left lobe n he was given anti biot , hes still breathless and gp has referred him for chest physio. his saturations are ok at 96 percent but gets out of breath if walks short distance. any recommendations for travel cover? thanks

Not sure you will get cover if he's getting ongoing treatment

You are looking at one of the specialist insurance companies like staysure

If/when you find an insurer for your husband's condition then do check if it will be cost effective for you to have your own standard policy elsewhere and he have his with the insurer prepared to cover his condition

Wouldn't having 2 separate policies mean that, as an example, if the OP's hubby cannot travel due to complications with his breathing then the OP won't be covered for cancellation (for her portion of the holiday) as presumably she won't have declared his conditions on her policy so can't use his inability to travel as basis for her claim??
