Stage 1 posting the result here (above). I shall now endeavour to link in the POPLA DECISIONS section coupon mad and Red X. You will have established by now that not only is my legal knowledge floundering but also my technical navigation of this site.

I was just about to tell you how to do this but I see you've done it - well done!

Thank you it’s amazing that I managed it ha.
That said I have not included a link to this thread so advice regarding that would be helpful...although having said that I’d be concerned that future appellants might have to read my copious ramblings and note my many mistakes!

Go to the first page of your thread and click in the box at the top of your browser window (the one that contains the URL starting https://forums.moneysav........) and copy it. Then go to the place where you posted your POPLA appeal success, find that post, click edit, go to the end of the post and paste the URL you just copied.

    Well done you!

As well as complaining to your MP, complain to the MP where the tram station is located if different from your MP.

Please tell all your friends and family about these scams in general as well as this scam in particular. Use social media as well.

Don't forget to tell everyone where to come for the best free advice on the internet on how to beat these scammers.

    excellent

now please post your actual popla appeal in a reply below, possibly split over 2 or more posts , remove any personal info like name , address , VRM details etc first so that you and your vehicle are not identified

this will help anyone else reading this thread who has a similar METROLINK parking charge as they can see all the angst you went through yet you came out on top in the end

yet you triumphed despite the many mistakes etc and you got your act together for the popla appeal and subsequent rebuttal of their dubious evidence pack with its numerous mistakes and errors and redactions

I have nothing but contempt for CARE/ANCHOR in METROLINK cases because they are a third party contractor who think they can ride roughshod over the bylaws and rules and pull the wool over the eyes of their victims

I dont think I have ever seen them win when we have helped forum members in METROLINK cases , which seems to mean they have a fundamental issue in what they can or cannot enforce

I have written to the chief exec of TFGM and their customer relations team.
I have also written to my MP and the MP for Stretford.
I shall endeavour to do the additional requests above shortly and will then post a link on social media.
My sister-in-law paid 4 fines for bus lane ‘violations’ in London (totalling over £200) when she was clearly not in the wrong as the road markings/road side signs were unclear. Although I generally find the private companies are worse than the councils people are generally still paying many fines needlessly. It’s a nightmare ‘industry’- I’d like people to access all the wonderful support I received as a complete novice with no knowledge at all.

We've had a few 'grumpies' over the past week who might wish to take note! :rotfl:

Excellent thread, showing how things can be done very successfully by a complete novice until a few months ago.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

    I cannot thank people enough.
In post #26 I had a grumble but Keith was right and I was impulsive in my response to his points.
It’s hard work appealing and only the tenacious survive! It’s a minefiled and I found help each step of the way from someone even when others were despairing with my ‘female helplessness’ or drama!
And yes it is a good example of !!!!-ups on my part being made good.

I think I'll quote that in future threads! I agree. This is not for the lily-livered.
