go to apple.com and sign up as a student, depending when you buy you can save 25- 40%
Also speak to the university as they could have a scheme selling them cheaper through a bulk student purchase etc.0 -

Video editors who like using final cut pro will find a better experience using a mac as Apple control the whole stack.
People who like mac os over windows will always default to buying a mac just as people who like windows will always buy a pc over a mac.
