Transferring a Gifted Deposit to my solicitor

I’ve been trying to find a related thread but haven’t seen one, so apologies in advance if this has been answered before!
I am currently in the process of purchasing a Shared Ownership property. Our solicitors ar aware that the deposit will be gifted from my mum. They have a written letter confirming this, copies of her ID and proof of funds in her account.
I am due to fly out to Spain on Monday for 5 days, but have just received a copy of the Contract to sign and return to the solicitor, with a request for the deposit monies to be paid over in advance of the exchange.
There is a strong possibility that the exchange will be scheduled for when I am out of the country, because we are limited on time to complete (we need to complete before the 9th May).
My mum can transfer the monies to my account on Monday, followed by me transferring the monies to the solicitor via telephone banking or internet banking (with the potential of having to do 2 transactions due to the limits they put on how much you can transfer). This will obviously hold up the whole process.
I wondered if it would be possible for my mum to transfer the monies to the solicitors directly to save time?
Or does it raise issues with money laundering?
Thanks in advance

They'll be checking the source of funds back to your mum anyway so from a money-laundering point of view it shouldn't make any difference.
Can't you instruct the bank transfers from Spain anyway?0 -
Yes I could do it from Spain, but due to the limits on what you can transfer per day I would have to do it over 2 different days which would delay the process.
If my mum can do it by going into branch on the Monday then it would all be done and dusted by Monday afternoon.0 -
Just make sure you give your mum the correct bank details for the solicitor. Get her to send £1 and confirm safe receipt before sending the rest.0
