is there a way to search rightmove or another website for a list of the cheapest houses in whole UK, not just in a specific area?

Can you not just google 'cheapest places to live in UK' and then use those places to do a Rightmove search?0

Postcode NE 37 in Sunderland took me about 5 minutes to find that.0

You can draw a search area on Rightmove... just draw one that covers the whole of the UK, set your budget and other parameters and away you go!0

Why do you want to find the worst places in the UK in the worst areas in the UK? These tend to be the cheapest properties, unless its something that requires a complete renovation.
All of which bring problems.
There was a TV series about buying properties for a pound in Liverpool but you have to live and/or work in Liverpool and they had problems with crime rates and needed extensive regeneration costing roughly £30k.0 -

Not necessarily. Cheapest doesn't always mean 'worst'. Just the same as most expensive doesn't mean 'best'.
The most expensive places to live in the UK generally seem to be mainly in the south of the country. But there are areas in the north where I would be (and have been) quite happy to live over some of these 'better' places.0 -
Cheapest is often for good reason e.g.

may look a bargain until you realise the whole block is due to be demolished in the not too distant future.0 -

Confusing heading to the article - one bit says its about England. Another bit says its about the whole country and it turns out it isnt - and only lists places in England.0
