Printing photos from old index card

Hi
Need a little help please.
Back in time, you would get film rolls for taking photos and the negatives to keep after.
Then I think the negatives were replaced with a small photo index card (about the same size as the photos) which had thumbnails of all the photos on.
I have some of these which were printed from Boots.
Can I still reprint photos from these?
How and where can I get these done?

They are proofs I think. The printer would print the whole sheet and then you could pick those that you liked which would be printed from the original negs. You can possibly scan them and print from the scans if they are not too small .If you have access to a scanner, Scan one (not the whole sheet) at the highest resolution your scanner can manage and give it a go. If its successful, do each one in turn .0

The photos on the index card are really tiny, literally thumbnail size.
I am hoping to get a photo blown up for a 11x14 frame.0 -
If it's the old APS (Kodak Advantix) system then the reprints come from the negatives which are returned to you on the original APS cartridge. The index print just shows you the photos that are on the cartridge.0

Adding to this there should be a numerical code on the edge of the photo index which corresponds to the numbered code on the APS cartridge - so you know you're requesting prints from the correct cartridge.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Ahhh, yes. I think it’s vaguely coming back to me now. I don’t have any cartridges. So I guess, reprinting is a no no.
But thanks so much for jogging my memory, I would not have remembered that otherwise.0 -

You could try scanning the index print and enlarging the thumbnail image but I doubt you'd get good results.
I still have my old APS camera from back in the day plus some spare unused films but they are rather expensive to develop and print now sadly.0 -
If it was any other film (35mm, or any other type of cartridge), then the negatives would have been tucked into a little pocket on the envelope that the films were returned in.If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0 -
