Big company owing money

Options
Hi all,
I started my own business at the beginning of February. I purchased some clothing from a company in the UK. I had to pay upfront and wait a few weeks for stock to arrive. Some of the items I had ordered were out of stock and others were faulty and I had to return them. I was offered a credit note but I declined and said I'd like a refund. I was given a total and promised a refund on the 15th of March and I'm still waiting.
I'm in touch with them every few days and they constantly tell me it will be with me soon but still nothing. I told them I wanted the money by the end of this week and copied the owner of the company in on the email but still nothing. What can I do? I feel at a loss! It's not a huge amount of money but it's enough to be making a difference at this point in my business. Is there anything I can do? They're a big company and I imagine my business isn't very important to them :(

A letter before action , giving 14 days notice that you will be proceeding court action if payment has not been received . In the letter state your case , inclde details of any conversations you have had with them . Send recorded ( although I email mine ) And follow it through

Most big companies pay their bills at the end of the month or early the next, many at the end of the following month.
They're probably treating you like everyone else they owe money to so hopefully you'll see it at the end of this month.

This. But also remember that you're a business, they're a business, and B2B contracts need to be read and understood because you do not have the same rights as you would if you were a personal customer buying from them.

So what terms and conditions were agreed when you placed your order?
