Hi I've had a standing order from Halifax to Lloyds returned with the code FPI which stands for Faster Payment Incoming.
It's happened twice now (Mon and Thurs). Anyone else experiencing this and got info on when it will be resolved?

To me it would suggest a wrong sort code or account number on the receiving Lloyds account.0

A standing order will be processed as a faster payment.0 -

So how do you explain the fact that the standing order being returned is showing as FPI?0 -
I think phoning your bank, rather than asking on a public forum, is the best way to go here!
They should be able to give you the decline reason and explain what's going on.0 -
It had been accepted no problem previously.
I did phone Halifax and they have no idea and they told me to ask Lloyds.
I googled it and sometimes it can happen because of an error in the FP system.
I just phoned Lloyds and it was the wrong sort code...opps!0 -

Once a standing order is setup and it's gone through once, I.e. you've received it at Lloyds, then surely the account number and sort code is correct.
How would this have changed?
Anyway, lucky that you entered a sort code (and matching account number) that didn't exist.0 -
Perhaps the OP did not notice that it had been returned previously?0
