Hi all, new member here.
Can anybody advise on what sort of monthly cost saving there would be between gas central heating/hob to electric heaters & hob for a 1 bedroom flat – 44m2.
Thanks
Dave

Depends on your tariff, but a typical figure is gas is somewhere round 2-3 times cheaper than electric. Other than that how long is a piece of string? For example, I have gas central heating in my home but it does not get used much - some winters it never goes on. This illustrates that everybody has a different situation and comparisons are not easy.0

exactly, everyone has a different home, different windows, and other temperature requirements0

Gas is cheaper to heat a home, a combi gives you instant hot water how much that gas costs you depends of how you use it.0

Although I much prefer gas, don't forget some of the disadvantages. Gas boilers are expensive to fix with annual safety checks if renting the property out. And secondly, you are stung with another standing charge. Mine is 25p a day which works out at over £90 a year0
