Garden waterlogged - possible burst pipe

A few weeks ago I noticed a puddle had appeared in the stones under my front window, I put it down to all of the rain and didn't think too much of it. However, now the puddle is still there, it's not getting any better or worse and I've had a poke around the ground and it's absolutely soaking. As of this morning the water has now leaked from the other side of the grass onto the pavement, not much but there is a wet patch there now that wasn't there yesterday.
Now my question, I know the homeowner is responsible as soon as the pipe is on their property but should I call Scottish Water to investigate or go straight to my home insurance? Also, I go on holiday in a week, is it worth just turning off the water until we get back?

You could try turning the water off in the road - if you see a noticeable reduction in puddle after a few hours it's likely the feed to your property. Worth doing, because it may well just be the water table and no supply pipe issue at all!
