Oh no! Another Sofa Finance question!

Hi all.

Long story short, I am newly single so went I sofa shopping tonight. I saw the SCS advert on tv and thought I'd look. Found the one and only comfortable sofa in the showroom (!), one called Anya and chose my colour. I ordered on finance (£14 per month with a carpet and underlay).

I've just got home and received a call from SCS. The colour I chose carries a £250 premium and they didn't realise. I do believe them and I think it was a genuine mistake. However, I am not going to pay £250 for my colour. They've told me to pop in and pick a colour which is free. From what I recall, there was only one colour I liked!

They did warn me that I cannot cancel the agreement before they realised the mistake and I have seen posts to this effect.

So, does anyone know where I stand? I'd rather have the facts for when I go in on Saturday. I would be willing to meet them halfway but that's my limit.

If they won't meet me halfway, was I mis-sold or not? Like I say, I don't think SCS went out of their way to mislead me.

If you're not happy with the new price they will have to cancel the agreement, it's their fault and they will have to rectify it.

Have you checked their web site to ensure there is such a large difference in price.
