Meter Accuracy Test

I had a 2nd check meter installed 2 weeks ago. I have been asked today if i can supply the readings for SSE to check them The 2 meters have a difference of 276 units with the check meter being the highest reading. Does this mean that my actual meter has been running slow and i have just shot myself in the foot because i have actually been undercharged for my electricity?

Hoping someone can help :)

    More than likely.

Lets hope you don't have to pay for the check meter as well - that would really upset you.

The check meters don't all start with the same reading, what you need to check is if the amount of energy record by the meters is different over the 2 weeks. If they are and the check meter is higher then you meter woill be swapped and your bill will go up. They can also bill you for the extra energy since you reported the issue.
