Halifax Switch Incentive

Just opened a Santander account to switch across. Got to the switching stage on Halifax, you need acc/sort/card no.
Will have to wait...
Thanks though guys

I'll let the screenshot below do the talking:

Select 'Santander' for 'name of Bank/Building Society'. Then select 'No' for 'Do you have a debit card with this account'. You only select 'Yes' if you've ever been supplied with a debit card for that account.
Because you've never been supplied, you select 'No'.
Hope it helps!
p.s: Of course you can select 'yes' and wait for the card to arrive. Up to you.0 -
I tried to switch an old account recently and I had "misplaced" the old debit card. The advice I received from the "new" bank (Halifax, as it happens) was to contact the "old" bank to cancel the card before proceeding with the switch. It worked like a dream. Don't report the card as lost or stolen though as they will automatically re-issue a card.0

Spot on!. Have another question.Yorkshire_Pud wrote: »Second working day of each month, so tomorrow:)
In June my 1st direct debit (DD) was paid out on 03 June.
The reward payment (for May 2019) for £2.00 appears on same date (03 June) after the DD transaction.
My second direct debit was taken today (17 June).
Does the first DD count as within the 'calendar month'?. Is the 'calendar month' counted from 01 June to 01 July?
The terms only say 'previous calendar month'.
My understanding is that 'calendar month' could be from the 01 of current month to 01 of the next month or it could be a certain date 03 June to 03 July. (perhaps the calendar month started from the date/time of my very first reward payment? or does it start from the May incentive date/time)You can earn £2 each month when throughout the previous calendar month you:
pay in £750 or more and;
pay out a minimum of 2 different direct debits and;
stay in credit.
Intuitively, it makes sense that calendar month here is from 01 June to 01 July. But when i search online it gives me both the above instances. One of those confusing aspects of the English Language I guess. Same as using 'by' to say 'Please respond by 17 June 2019' Does that include 17 June or not?. To avoid confusion I always use 'on or before 17 June' if I mean it is to be included.0 -
Has anyone tested the water on applying for an account for the switch offer when they have already had one?
I had one around 2014, applied last year and was given another, now tempted to apply again to see if they give me it again?!0 -

You don't qualify for the switch incentive if you have had one since 2012, so my answer would be 'No'!Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!
