Cost of adding a new floor to a bungalow?

Are you talking solid wood, tiles or laminate?
Or did you mean that you want to add a storey0 -
Our bungalow was an L shape and they wouldn't let us extend as big as we wanted and keep as a bungalow. So we decided to extend upwards as well as the ground floor extension. We had to have the whole bungalow underpinned. It is a chalet bungalow now but we couldn't have built rooms in the original roof space. The whole roof had to come off because of the new ground floor shape - it is now a square with a fairly large lounge built on so we needed new everything. We've never worked out how much it cost lol but hubby did a lot of the work himself. The things he didn't do were the electrics, the plumbing because of the certificates needed and the brickwork for speed.
He did everything else - windows, plastering, floors etc. We have a lovely house now but don't think I'd want to go through it again. We lived in an old mobile home on site while it was being done.0
