Mining Interpretive Report

Options
Hi All,

I'm currently in the process of buying my first house and solicitors have picked up on a mine entry within 20m of the properties boundary. It is no where near the house as it is right at the back of the garden 4 houses along, so it hasn't put us off.

The lenders were sent the original mine report, and we have since had to pay for a Mining Interpretive Report, i was just wondering has anyone else had to do this? (With Halifax in particular) And if so did you experience any problems with lending? E.G. Extra deposit, Mortgage not offered etc....

Thanks In Advance!

  • Hi ,
Can I ask if coal mining interpretive report was helpful and did you buy the house.
Will this affect the future saleability of the house, I am in the same situation as yours and lender is also same.
    Thanks

You are responding to a post from 2018 and DWhite has not logged in since April of that year - so I doubt he/she will answer you....!

Had no problems at all in the end, we continued with the sale of the property and mine entry was around 15 meters away from the property so Halifax were happy to continue with the mortgage.

I don’t believe it will affect the saleability of the house in the future as it didn’t put us off!
