Neighbour loud noise - what do you think could cause it?

    You have to talk about this problem with someone from your neighbor's family, I can not imagine living in such a noise. Maybe you can do something about it.

    the correct thing to do would be to knock on the door and talk to your neighbour, not posting on an internet forum asking random people around the country to speculate what could be causing the noise.

    If he is deaf there is nothing to stop you getting a pen and paper and write it down in order to communicate. I understand its hard to have a communication like that but just knock on the door, wave, write down "how are you, is everything ok?"
    "Do you have any issues sleeping?"
    "do you use a machine at night to help you sleep?"

    You will find out very soon the answer.

    If a stranger knocked on my door and started asking (or writing) questions that intrusive, the door would be shut in their face.

    At least start with "Hello, I'm XXX and I live at No. YY."

    "I'm trying to find the source of a noise that bothering me" and take it from there.
