Advice on £769 bill on changing tariffs
Comments

Thanks again Helena. I accept that I could have analysed the bills better - I genuinely did not see a note from you on one bill saying that you thought the payments may be a bit low. Maybe a separate email to emphasise this? As it is obviously going to be the case that if the tariff had gone up payments should increase. And I don't understand why the energy club tracker on this site assumed I was paying around £150 pm?? And I genuinely didn't realise that my tariff had gone up as the payments remained the same!0

look at your bills and put your real energy usage over a year kWh into cheap energy club.
this is a good time of year to switch, so you will be on a good rate through next winter0 -
Lot's of helpful comment, but I'd add that the payment plan you agreed on the phone, leaves you vulnerable.
There have been plenty of posts on such plans, where despite customers paying the installments on time, they have received demands for the whole amount or it's balance out of the blue, with threats of Court and enforced Paygo meters.
WRITE to Eon agreeing to the offer by phone, setting out the payment and and amounts schedule - This sets up a paper trail that cannot be denied in future.
Be aware that if you do default on a payment, the Court/ Paygo meter action will start almost immediately0
