I need a city break

We haven't managed a holidy again so would like to get in a city break over the next 6 weeks (not too close to christmas) 2 Adults , 3 children (12,9,7) from Manchester, Sheffield, East Midlands or Doncaster.

Really needs to be at a weekend with either the Friday or Monday tagged on (minimum impact on work)

No real preference on where we go Paris, Prague, Rome - the usual city break destinations - budget up to about £750 But might be able to splash out if there is a particualry good deal on somewhere like new york!

Can anyone help with suggestions on when to go to get the best deals ie November rather than December - anywhere that i haven't thought of that is good value/particuarly interesting or what ever .

Thanks in advance.
