Washing Machine leaks from Detergent Drawer

Hi,
My washing maching is leaking profusely from the detergent drawer - ONLY during the rinse cycle. I have a feeling the outlet at the back of it is clogged up with Softner (we only use drum tablets for washing)...
I've taken the drawer out and cleaned as much as I can - but I can't get into the outlet pipe beneath it. You can hear the gurgling when the rinse cycle happens and some water is taken into the machine.
Is there any cleaner I can put into the drawer (ie non-corrosive drain cleaner) that wouldn't ruin the machine? I've been onto Miele and it will cost the minimum of £125 for the first hour and £75 per hour thereafter !!
Any advice appreciated!

Can you use a flexible pipe cleaner or sink rod to gently poke around and see if you can dislodge whatever's blocking it? Alternatively or in addition, put some soda crystals in there and wash them down with very hot water.0

The pipe from the drawer to the drum is also used to fill for the washes so if it doesn't leak during the washes then I doubt the problem is there.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0

If it is clogged with softener try hot water with soda crystals. It might only occur during the rise cycle due to the amount of water added at one time. When washing my machine tends to fill in small amounts for the wash cycle.0

Run a rinse cycle without the drawer.
if that all runs into the machine fine it's the drawer
You have dismantled the softener trap/siphon in the drawer?0 -
If you turn the mains supply off and lift the lid you should be able to see how the filler tray assembly is connected to the drum. It's probably a floppy plastic/rubber fitting that can be removed by undoing a couple of clips. If you think there's a blockage, remove and inspect/clean that.0
