Euro car parks PCN

Hi,
Some advice on PCN case is needed.
PCN is for parking the car without authorization. Basically speaking the driver didn't pay for stay.
The whole problem is that it was done absolutely with no intention.
Two days before the ticked was purchased via telephone app. Confirmation of the purchase is kept safe.
There are few car parks there in close proximity. Was dark at that time and car park wasn't lit. Car park was half empty anyway.
Above circumstances led the driver to park on the different car park resulting in PCN.
What options can be considered in the above situation?

Edit your post to remove information about who did what. Only ever refer to The Driver and The Keeper who are two different people.
Do this before you do anything else. Parking scammers monitor these fora.
Next, read the Sticky thread for NEWBIES, then send the template appeal you will find there. Do this as keeper and do not reveal who was driving.
The advice to ignore has not been given here since the law changed in 2012.
You will then need to read up on what to do if/when your initial appeal is rejected.
Please also complain about this unregulated scam to your MP and Sir Greg Knight MP.
These are some of the comments made by the MPs in Parliament concerning the unregulated parking industry (Feb 2018):

''Rip-offs from car park Cowboys must stop''; unfair treatment; signage deliberately confusing to ensure a PCN is issued; ''years of abuse by rogue parking companies''; bloodsuckers; ''the current system of regulation is hopeless, like putting Dracula in charge of the blood-bank''; extortionate fines; rogue operators; ''sense of injustice''; unfair charges and notices; wilfully misleading; signage is a deliberate act to deceive or mislead; ''confusing signs are often deliberate, to trap innocent drivers''; unreasonable; a curse; harassing; operating in a disgusting way; appeals service is no guarantee of a fair hearing; loathed; outrageous scam; dodgy practice; outrageous abuse; unscrupulous practices; ''the British Parking Association is as much use as a multi-storey car park in the Gobi desert''; and finally, by way of unanimous conclusion: ''we need to crack down on these rogue companies. They are an absolute disgrace to this country. Ordinary motorists and ordinary residents should not have to put up with this''.
These are the exact words used, so you should quote them to your MP in a complaint and ask him/her to contact Sir Greg Knight MP if he wants further information about this scam.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

Adam, you appear to have edited your post following Fruitcake's suggestion, but substantially more editing is needed.
For example, your fifth sentence would be better as:Basically speaking the driver didn't pay for stay.
Please re-review the rest of your post similarly.
There is no place for the word 'I' when describing events on the day.
This really isn't just petty pedantry.
The PPCs trawl forums like this just waiting for people to trip themselves up.0 -
Op. Did you edit your post as a result of Fruitcake's advice?
If not, why not?
If you did, then more editing is required!!
The ppcs monitor this forum and can use your posts against you
