Saniflo keeps running after cleaning.

Hi all,
I live in a downstairs apartment and have a saniflo unit servicing the wastewater in my bathroom. Recently I used the proprietary saniflo cleaner and descaler, following the instructions by switching the power off, pouring half the solution into the toilet, allowing to sit for two hours before powering on and flushing twice.
The unit now keeps running and pumping loudly indefinitely until either the power is switched back off or the saniflo receives a good smack (yes I know it's not a great way to treat your appliances, but I was frustrated and it seemed to work)
I've opened the unit to take a look and I can't see any signs of a blockage. There are two floating parts on either side that don't appear to be snagged on anything.
What would you fine folks suggest about this predicament?
Many thanks,
Andy

Update: Unit seems to be working normally now, may still get an engineer out to look at it. Not sure why it stopped the behavior described above. Possibly something needed to dry out.0

When ours did this it was because the one way valve that stops the pumped waste running back into the unit was worn out.
IIRC, it is as sophisticated as a rubber flap! When the flap broke off the unit ran continuously.
The part doesn't cost much, and isn't hard to replace, but it is a disgusting messy job.0 -
Fyi, I've had a senior engineer at ours and he says to clean it with *thin* bleach. The Tesco one is 55p for 2 litres. Cheaper than the other stuffEverything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
