Do HSBC accept PDF statements as proof of address?

Hi there,
I've got an appointment with HSBC to open an account. Does anybody know if they accept PDF bank statements as proof of address? The identification guidance isn't very clear.

I don't know. Most banks and the FCA are silent on this. Lloyds Bank does say that "We accept statements printed from Internet Banking". You'd think Banks should get this question all the time with more and more people going paperless for utilities and banking and would put guidance on their websites.0

I think that’s where the confusion the OP has comes into play.
It states “We cannot accept statements printed from the internet”
Which doesn’t really answer the question, the OP could supply them with pdfs directly.0 -
Take it as no.2.88 kWp System, SE Facing, 30 Degree Pitch, 12 x 240W Conergy Panels, Samil Solar River Inverter, Havant, Hampshire. Installed July 2012, acquired by me on purchase of house in August 20170

I’d use a recent utility bill over that but let’s assume they don’t. You can’t use the same form of ID as proof of who you are and where you live.0 -

Photo ID always out trumps utility bills. I didn't read anywhere to suggest that the OP was using a driving licence as primary ID or I would not have suggested it.
Some banks accept single ID for UK residents anyway not sure if HSBC are one.0
