Fence issue

OP, you've got a dog. What if you start to keep ferrets; will you demand that the fence is upgraded to keep them in?
My sister and BIL had a dog a few years ago. A slightly mad rescue dog, which got shot for worrying livestock when he escaped once. They understood the farmer's position, were upset, but shrugged their shoulders, and didn't try and pass the blame.
Are you really that short of money that you're expending all this effort on avoiding installing a fence to your satisfaction and specification.Like others I don't believe any solicitor has been involved.0
