A notice was placed on our car yesterday. 13/4/18 A PCN may be issued. We were visiting an elderly lady resident at the time. She had not been issued with a new parking pass as she had had a letter from her housing association telling her her outdated pass would not be renewed (it had expired on 07/04/18) she had discarded the old pass. The letter said that the parking was out to tender. She did slightly misread the letter. She said we didn't need a pass as it was out to tender at the moment.. 20 minutes later there was a notice on the car. It says THIS IS NOT A PARKING CHARGE NOTICE on the reverse it says a PCN may be issued. I later rang my friend who is 80 and asked her if she still had the letter and to read it to me. It read that no new passes were being issued until a new tender had been sorted and the old pass could still be used but she had thrown it away. Should we quote the letter she has from her housing association or wait and see if they do send a PCN, then should we follow the advice on the forum or the letter the lady has. Thank you in advance.
