Free ATM for Manx abroad

Travellingbroad
I am a Manx (that's Isle of Man) national who mostly lives/travels
abroad. I have been paying to access my money from ATM's for many years, but now find out, (thanks to this site), that Nationwide and the Post Office both issue cards which will give me free access to my cash whilst out of British waters
However, I cannot open a Nationwide account from a Manx address and our Post Office is independent and banks only through Alliance & Leicester.
Does anyone have any ideas on how I can access my cash abroad without paying for the service?
I could try using a friend's address in England initially, and then say I've moved to the Island, but I have no utility bills or other ID for the address.
Hope somebody can help. I've paid out a fortune in the last decade or so.
Many thanks in advance!!

The problem you may come across even if you get a temporary mainland address is that all the products are credit based, so you might not score highly having "just arrived".
I can only suggest you check with all the offshore banks based in Douglas to see if any offer currency accounts in the currency(s) you need, they may have free atm withdrawals etc in that currencyThis is a system account and does not represent a real person.
