Lloyds TSB - proper debit card or not?

Does anyone have a Lloyds TSB debit card with their cash account? Is it a proper debit card or a VISA Electron? I have read the countless posts and they all imply it is a proper card, yet when I opened a cash account on the phone, the customer rep didn't seem to know anything useful. He just read what was on their website.
I need to book a hotel room and Travelodge don't accept electron or solo cards. I need to know if I would be wasting my time going into the branch with my ID docs if I am only going to get more of what I already have.

It is a full VISA debit card, not Electron.
Card can only be used in LTSB cashpoints the same as the existing card.
Report your card as damaged and you will keep your existing PIN.:beer:0 -
