Withdrawing cash abroad

Am I correct is assuming that my Nationwide FlexPlus current account is the best way to withdraw cash abroad assuming I don't want to go through the process of paying off a credit card earlier than the usual direct debit?

Almost. It's fee-free but could be beaten by a MasterCard as the exchange rates tend to be better on average.

Just beware they charge 2% for purchases.

Starling Bank card can be used abroad with no currency transaction fees for money withdrawal, also gets the MasterCard rate, so very difficult to better this.
