Ebay/paypal fraud

On 26 Feb 2018 I was defrauded on Ebay for the purchase of a Rolex watch in the amount of £5550. I have contacted Paypal to confirm that I have not made this purchase and therefore the transaction is fraudulent. Paypal have responded saying they have investigated and there is insufficient evidence to pursue the case. I would appreciate any advice on how to proceed with this case.
many thanks,
Big Col

you would probably be better posting on the ebay board, but what actually happened?
When I had a case...got up one morning to find I had bought a book from the US for $100 whilst I was sleeping...it was investigated and money refunded by PayPal within a week.
Assuming you did not receive the watch, what have they said with regards to item not received?

I'm assuming seller of the item provided proof of delivery to the address in your eBay/PayPal account.

If they didn't then I'd be back onto them on the phone straight away.

    So much to clarify.
So you are saying your eBay account was used by someone else?

So how do you know about this purchase?
