Do new PPI complaints also get looked at for Plevin?

Hi,
A friend of mine has just started making enquiries regarding PPI she may have had years ago with RBS. She has filled in their online "Have I Got PPI" form and is also looking through old copies of paperwork she has filed away.

If she does discover she is eligible to make a PPI complaint, will RBS also look at the Plevin side of things at the same time, or would she need to make a separate application for that?

They will only need to look at that in the event the mis selling complaint is rejected.

OK thanks. Will RBS automatically do this, or will my friend have to contact them if they reply to say mis selling complaint rejected?

I think you are rather jumping the gun. Wait and find out if there even was any PPI before considering what you might do if a complaint is rejected.

Having said that, Plevin is now automatically considered alongside new PPI complaints.

Do note, though, that a Plevin refund won't apply if your friend had no PPI (or there is no longer any record)
