MBNA application approved

Hi all,

I went through an eligibility checker and MBNA BT card was pre approved, then went to full application which said approved.

Received email to say all approved but read this paragraph;

The great news is you've been accepted, subject to a few final checks all our applications have to go through. Once approved, your credit limit will be £7,500.

Does that sound right?

Thanks

    If that's what it says, there's no reason to disbelieve it

    I just wondered what they would need to check as they have gone through soft and hard search already and said approved?

    It’s probably fraud and ID checks, really nothing to worry about.

    Just final checks. No difference from ongoing checks throughout the life of the account.

    Nothing to worry about if you were honest in your application and your circumstances haven't changed.

    You will have been pre approved on a soft search and it will be just a standard thorough check using a hard search to make sure nothing else pops up. It also could be that yours has been selected at random for an audit check, nothing to worry about if your information is accurate.
  • Hi

    I was also approved for an MBNA credit card on Saturday 14th, does anyone have any idea how long these other checks will take as I put in for a Money Transfer when I applied and it said you won't need to wait for your card and pin before requesting a transfer

    Never done anything like this before so just curious of timescales

    Thank you
