Claims Guys - not received payment

Hi

Advice for a friend - went via the Claims Guys to claim PPI compensation - letter received 4m later asking for their cut of payment as the claim was successful. Happy to pay but we haven't received any money! Rang Claims Guys who say it's our issue and we need to chase the bank. Of we are paying a third of money, why should it be our responsibility - surely that's what their commission is for? It appears the bank sent a cheque to the old address - although the claim was with our updated address.

Any advice?

Thanks

Tell them to wait until you have the cash, not the fault of your friend the bank sent it to the wrong place

Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Claims companies always chase their payment immediately the complaint is upheld. However, explaining the circumstances of your delayed payment will surely stay their hand...

I informed them of above, and the have responded stating they cannot deal with bank due to data protection - odd considering they were acting for me with them!
