Cheers for that. You’ll notice my reply in #5. I did ask about chargeback and they said no. So thats that avenue shut. 6# recommended for the future, i use credit card, which is great for future purchases but not my situation right now. For the avoidance of doubt, i gave them a chance to rectify the fact that they had sold me a dud, as i thought it might be easier than chasing a refund. Hindsight says that was probably incorrect but surely the point of posting in a consumer rights thread is to ask for advice when things go wrong. Again, thanks for the condescending advice. Appreciate it.

Write a letter to your bank - they're just trying to wiggle out of it.
Chargeback should and does apply.

Hi. We bought from hot price in Nov. Tub never worked. They have lied constantly for 8 months and said an engineer would visit. Tubs2u claim no connection with hot price however one of our emails came from Tubs2u regarding our tub! We had fortunately paid deposit by credit card and were able to get our money back through section 75 claim. The process took 6 months though. I hope you get sorted.
