When i see Martin on TV he says sometimes he can't give names of webistes that give you ALL energy providers for some stupid reason or another but it's something to do with some not showing all the deals or something like that, so what is the best price comparison sites to use?
I'm looking for Electric supply only switch as i have no gas and wanted to be able to use a price comparison site that gave me all the deals on offer right now.

An easy to use site from the Citizens Advice Bureau https://energycompare.citizensadvice.org.uk/ and is more comprehensive than this forums own site.0

Many thx folks will go there now.

Sadly, the above URL simply takes you a a restricted version of Energylinx
e.g. you cannot see the tariff detail (unit charge, standing charge, etc) using the URL above, whereas you can if you go to Energylinx - the database used for both.

I think you may be mistaken about why Martin Lewis refrains from specifically naming any of the above in his TV appearances.
Perhaps this explains why he doesn't do it anymore?

The good reason to avoid the energylinx page for less experienced switchers, is that energylinx defaults to only showing tariffs they can switch you to. You have to select from a drop down menu if you want to see all the results. That drop down isn't obvious. Under the CAB version, all results are shown from the get go.0 -
Actually you can see the full tariff details from the CAB URL, it is on the next page after you click on the "Next Steps" button. Go to the bottom of that page and then click on "More Information" under the "Tariff Details" Heading".

Thanks for that.
It's a bit of a pfaff though (imho), if you want to look at details of various tariffs.
3 clicks compared to one directly on EnergyLinx.
What's more, you can see/compare details of various tariffs all at the same time on the results page direct with energylinx, rather than having to go back to the results page and then going through the 3 clicks again to see details of another tariff.
Also, for those on E7, you can get a more accurate result direct with energylinx, as it allows you to set your ratio of day/night use by 1% increments compared to the larger increments that are the only options on the URL you prefer.
Finally, those wishing to switch directly can do so directly from energylinx (for selected suppliers/tariffs), and could even earn up to a possible £34 cashback for doing so by using this energylinx link :money:

I agree, the downside to all these upsides is to ensure you compare ALL suppliers from the outset, rather than only those they pay cashback for.
But I remember we have discussed this before here,
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.php?t=5825691
So perhaps we can leave it at that?
Ultimately, use what you prefer.
Thanks to wavelets for providing the full list of Ofgem accredited gas & electricity comparison sites. :T
It is vital to ensure you only use a comparison service that is accredited by Ofgem (or alternatives that use one) - beware of scam sites that are not Ofgem accredited.0 -

Sadly it no longer appears to cover ALL the market...
MSE Cheap Energy Club - the suppliers/tariffs they DON'T want you to know about0 -
I guess if you tick "only show big suppliers" it's not going to make a lot of difference ?
But at least they show true values and savings0
