Don't like complicated products. I might be cynical but where you get high rates and transferring money from a to b etc etc there's usually something else somewhere in the small print.
If the insurance companies aren't making money out of it surely they wouldn't be doing it. Simplicity & transparency. Why can't companies be straightfoward. Minor rant.0 -
It should be noted that the insurance company is not making (or losing money) on this beyond their normal business. A&L are using the commission that L&G pay them to offset the interest rate payable.
In effect, you are buying an endowment if you do this. If you dont need the life cover, its going to cost you. If you do need the life cover, then you can get it a lot cheaper from an IFA even on maximum commission let alonea discount IFA.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
