  • Make sure that if you do try and ring them or send them a letter, note the time and date you called (if you do get answered then get the persons name) and send any mail by recorded delivery, that way if it does go to court you can show proof that you have tried to contact them.

Thank you for all your replies. After reading them I am not sure now whether to laugh or cry. If only I knew what a horrible company they were in the first place then I would never have bothered getting anything from them. At least a lot of people now know never ever to get involved with this company again so hopefully some good can come out of this and this may save someone else from ordering stuff from them.
  • At first we were a bit reluctant to try Grollier. Then we decided to give it a go. My wife registered & they sent the free books together with the books to try. My wife then cancelled. They offered the trial books for half price but my wife said no. My wife asked them to send a prepaid envelope to send the trial books back to them & they did. So we got the free books & cancelled without any problem.

Then I did the free trial myself. Again they sent me 7 disney books together with the free trial books. I phoned up to cancel the account & again they offered me the trial books for half price. The was good so I accepted & cancel the account. So I got 9 disney books for £4.49.

So no problem with Grollier for me. Cancelling was easy. Customer Services was fine. Paying was easy as well.
  • I had a nitemare with grolier i ordered a set of books for my son when he was 2 they were a pack that were free he actually loved the stories but after my free books they kept sending stuff i hadnt ordered then expecting me to pay for it to be sent back! it took me till he was 6 to sort it out as they wouldnt accept that i hadnt ordered the stuff in the end i was receiving a red letter at least once a week eventually my mum paid it off it was only about £35 but thats a lot when you havent got any books to show for it!! I certainly learnt my lesson i never buy books from any clubs anymore.
  • i havent had any problems myself with them but i have found that if u want more books(other than the free ones) then go to your local charity shop. they have so many to add to ur free collection
