Hi Guys, is anyone else being plagued by a google pop up, with my IP address saying I could win an I phone, by answering stupid questions, of which I have not participated!
Every day, several times a day, for 5 days now, whether using Safari, or Google, the pop up appears, and There is a time limit of 1.5 mins to answer.
I have to click on to it,twice, to get out of it.
I thought/think it may be a scam, hence not clicking on any stupid answer to their questions!
Does anyone know how I can stop it?

Never had this in 7 years of owning an iPad so all I can tell you is this.....

In settings click on safari and make sure

    1. block pop-ups is on
    2. Clear your website history and data

    Hi, just googled Benutzer.
Apparently it has been around for years?
Not sure if it is a virus, but not too easy to get rid.
Others have cleared history, and it was still there!
Should not need a virus scan on I pad, but it has been recommended on this forum last year?
At a bit of a loss what to do, for the best, as it is apple.
Some say it may be app problem?

You could just reset your device by erasing all content and settings but I don't know if you have backed up your data to icloud and have that all correctly set up so when you sign back into device you can get everything back. So make an appointment with Apple genius bar and they will no doubt have ideas to fix it.

    Last resort John.
Trying removing apps first, then history, etc.
    Trial and error.
Just confused at how I have got it.
I think it a phishing shot to obtain my id, that is why I never answered any of the inane questions, but, I have to click on it to get out of it.
If it was malware, I think my I pad would be locked by now ?
Rarely use I pad, just banking and reading paper !
Son has just been, and piggy backed on my router to google something, a resteraunt local, and his android phone downloaded Microsoft word, straight away, which came up as malicious on his anti virus.
Cannot see it being my router being compromised?

    Still got benutzer!
    Wiped memory, took apps off.
Apple forum offer no more info, no one knows for sure what it actually is?
    Been around since 2012.
Reluctant to wipe I pad clean.
    Too many photos.
Have I cloud, ? but do not know if they are backed up.
Not familiar with I pad, !!
Just have to live with it unless anyone has a remedy.:(

Could be. How old's your router? (Make/model). If ancient, get a new one. Otherwise reset and change the router admin password.

Hi G, it is only 2 years old, I have a new one in hand, will change it .
Although, the new one is the same as the existing one.
    It is talk talks Hauwei
I doubt this will rid me of Benutzer?
Just reading up on it on Malwarebytes, nothing about Apple I pad!
It seems to be embedded now.

    EDITed.
Seems it is not my day, again.
New router kaput, out of box, so looks like PW change.
