increase in water pressure and shower

We recently went from a gravity fed water system to a combi boiler and as per my other post, it’s since caused problems in the system by exposing a couple of weak spots in joints etc causing a leak.
Our wall mounted shower is harder to turn on and off than previously, would the new increase in water pressure (now mains pressure, previously gravity fed and with a shower pump) cause stiffness in turning the shower on and off now?
Not an issue, just trying to educate myself a bit
