Creating Word macros - help!

Can anyone tell me how I can create a Word macro to open files in a folder one at a time, do a search and replace (change (name)2007 to (name)2008 in a footer) and then save and close the file and then move on to the next one.
This would save me hours of work as I have many documents to change.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Record a macro doing a single file and that should give you the basic code.
You should then (possibly with a little help) be able to loop it so it does all the files.:wall: Flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality - Am I flogging a dead horse? :wall:
Any posts are my opinion and only that. Please read at your own risk.0
