Don't get too excited by that phone number stuff.

It won't deter the PPC, and it won't win any court case, should it come to that.

Indeed, but a report to the Consumer Helpline should initiate some action from Trading Standards and a report to ASA should bring some further bad publicity.

    It's a debt collector's letter.

You need to refer to post #4 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread for comprehensive guidance on how to deal with it.

@Wilku. Are you not doing any essential advance research so you are ready for the stuff that follows an unpaid parking charge? You just can't rock up, pose the next question, get your answer, then get on with your life, and hope nothing more happens.

You are in the laser-sight of the PPC for the next 6 years, so you'd better get yourself ahead of them, then you have a greater chance of seeing this off. At the moment you are way off the pace (especially if you didn't recognise/realise that a debt collector would be on your tail) which leaves you with a very soft underbelly and vulnerable.

    Wise up!

No worries - the advice still remains current, even after three weeks. :)

I posted a suggested VCS Airport defence about one day ago on here. That's the only time you need to take more steps, at court claim or LBC stage.

You really just need to read the NEWBIES thread during the lull before the storm.

    Hello Guys
Recently I have moved to new house. I have found in Newbies thread that I need to know PPC and debt collector I have changed address. My question is - is there any template how to write it? Do I need to do it in a form of letter or email is ok? Some of you suggest to ignore them but if I will write them, then they will again start to send me again tons of those call of payment letters.
    Thanks

There is no template for this sort of thing. You just need to tell the PPC in writing what your new postal address is, and tell them to confirm acknowledgement. You will need to tell them the relevant PCN number as well.
Send an email and take a screenshot, and send it by post as well, (keep a copy) first class from a Post Office counter, and get a free proof of posting.

It is your address for service, and you will hold them liable for all costs if they continue to use your old service address.
