I've had a good experience with them a year or so ago - got a suite in a boutique E London hotel for cheap, was a result.

Then recently I paid about £100 (Apparently 'an incredibly low price' for a 4* around Regents Park, and not only was the hotel pretty lame and didn't have air-con (it was boiling), but after I booked I found the same room for maybe £3 more on Booking.com.
    I was pretty angry.

I sent a complain via Hotwire's feedback form, but not heard anything back.
What can I do? Isn't this 'false advertising' or one of those other trading regs?

    thanks,
    Paul

All sites promise low prices. The savings promised by Hotwire is compared to similar rated hotels in the same area, so not even a direct comparison with the hotel you are getting. It's really neither here nor there what the price is on other sites.
