Flow Energy Final Demand
I'm acting as joint executor for my late father's estate. A day after he passed away, my mother received a final demand from Flow Energy for an outstanding debt of around £60 from when he switched to Bulb in May 2017.
I've just worked my way through several years' correspondence (my father never threw anything away, not even envelopes) and have not come across a single final statement, reminder or bill from Flow.
I've written to them, asking for copies of any letters they've sent over the last year but they have refused, saying I need to send new meter readings (no idea why, he's not been a customer for almost a year) and my mother has to fill in a new direct debit mandate.
I strongly suspect they've messed up by not issuing a final statement or followed notification procedures and am inclined to tell them to get stuffed. Would I be within my rights or be better off seeking advice from Ofgen? Any help welcome.

Based on your conversation with them, submit a complaint to them stating that they are demanding payment without providing proof the money is due (final bill). The current meter reading is Nothing to do with them so don't provide one.
