Hi all, I've just received a letter from Lowell financial stating they have bought my debt of £201.59 from EDF energy that is just over 6 years old and a debt I wasn't even aware of?? How do I query this, I've phoned EDF who have told me to ring lowell, which I will do tomorrow. Just want to know where I stand when I phone…

Like you I received a letter saying I owed >£600 for a debt that does not belong to me. I wrote a letter of complaint and today I have received an apology letter and a promise of a £100 check for this ‘error’

I know that hundreds of people have been sent letters and I hope no-one pays in fear of being chased and credit files affected by the debt collectors!
