Ok stupid question but the nintendo wii, would people say these are more for kids or all ages?Im an adult and must say,i have heard adults even talking about how good or fun these are.
I have reserved on at argos and i pick up wednesday but am i buying something thats more for kids,i have always been into game consoles from a young age and have every one there was when they came out,i even have a xbox 360 bust must admit best choice of the consoles and good on xbox for getting out there first,i did worry it would be a flop, but ps3 seems to be struggling,i think.
I dont buy full price xbox games always wait till they drop in price and in average pay approx £19 a title or less which is great.
I been thinking about a ps3 but this wii seems to be hard to get and everyone wants one, why.
Am i doing the right thing by buying a wii over a ps3,i made the right choice when it came to xbox360 but did wonder about the wii or ps3.
what are the average age groups on here of people buying them and come on not for there kids but themselves, well ok if kids then the whole family gets a go

Treat everyday as your last one on earth! and one day you will be right.

The Wii is a brilliat console and there's no age group at all. I'm 26 years old and have played console since I was 7. I would strongly recommend Wii because it's more interactive and it's more fun. You can even play Gamecube games if you like. I would recommend games like Trauma Centre, Zelda for your Wii and I am recently playing MGS:Twin Snakes from gamecube.Mind you, you need a gamecube controller and the memory card.
But hey, if you don't like it, you can sell it off (you can even generate profits from there because it's in such a high demand).
I didn't get the PS3 at all because the games are too expensive and the library is quite limited at the time being. PS3 has great graphics and in the end, it is a great bargain for a blue-ray player.
In conclusions, definitely get a Wii on Wednesday. If you don't like it, you can still sell it on.0 -
The average age of a video games player (ie actually playing not just buying) is 33.
According to an American study and I presume UK won't be much different."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

only the physicall age is similar, i would imagine that a 33 year old American would have a lower mental age to that of a 33 year old in the U.K.0 -
Couldn't agree more - our 8 & 4 year old play against the grandparents! All age groups seem to be attracted to the Wii - it really is fab.0

my mum and dad (63 and 62) have never played computer games in there life. They loved our wii so much they now have there own wii console!! and there friends who are 65 have just bought one as well as they loved my mum and dads!!
so no no age limit at all!!0 -
Get Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition, definitely not a kids' game.
Metroid Prime 3 Corrution is out this week, and Guitar Hero 3 is out in November, as is Super Mario Galaxy : ).....0 -

I can't comment on that, my mum is American. What I will say is I just found a UK study to say average age of UK gamer is 28.

Neither is Manhunt 2 which is banned in this country, but is available in other countries (on the Wii). It's an important point though, it's more about the games than the console itself. Bit like asking about an age limit on a DVD player. It's the media/content that's used on it that determines suggested age."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

When we bought ours back in April, MIL ( aged 54) and FIL ( aged 81) had a go and loved it so much, they bought their own. In fact, she has also had the residents at the old peoples home she runs playing it - they all loved it.0

Ok so looks like another good buy then,so what is it you get with the wii, included as in controllers, and i just have the basic package with sports is this a game with some sport games on it?what is play,is this the same?or different as looked this up and its a controller but maybe with game also, would not want to get one of play if it comes with wii.
Also what other items would be recommended after getting the wii, that is cool to have.
And what games are recommended for adults, some that are just for adults and ones that very interactive,i have no idea of them as not had one of these yet but heard many talk about them.
And any good deals around online or high street on accessories and games and the moment i can maybe get my hands on,i do have a £5 voucher for argos i will probably use towards my purchase but will also probably get another £10 when the wii is purchased, and it would be great if i can use that towards something for the wii, with cash included, but what?Treat everyday as your last one on earth! and one day you will be right.0
