Credit card cheques- how to stop them arriving?!

I hate credit card cheques with avengence. They are such a con (and are treated as a cash advance, so interest is charged etc etc) and seem so unsafe just drifting through the post.

DH has tried to get them to stop sending him them but instead they keep sending his and now I get them too:mad:

Tempted to just stop the card TBH asI've just got atesco one to boost point, it is always paid off etc

I wouldn't stress about them. Just treat as any other personalised junk mail and put straight through the shredder.

You can phone the CC company and ask for mail to be stopped. Usually broken down into Phone, Email, Mail, Cheques and marketing. You can pick and choose which type of contact you dont mind and which you want stopped. (At least for the CC company where I work u can )

I do hate them too, but I did ask my bank once to not send any more cheques, they did it for a while then started sending them again.
Now they go straight to the shredder.

Yeah Barclaycard keep doing this to me too, despite repeated calls asking them not to. So now I've given up, was a waste of my free phone calls lol and if someone intercepts them in the post then it's BC's problem, not mine!

I phoned HSBC and asked them to stop. They said yes but continued to send them. So I just cancelled the card completely and switched to another card.

I agree - they should be banned. I don't get any at the moment, but it seems that some card issuers stop sending them if requested, and some don't. It might help to write a letter or - if you have online access - send a secure message and keep a copy.
