Smeg Oven Packed In - Rough Repair Costs?

My Smeg oven has packed in, the grill, fan, stove etc, all still work. I'd like to get it repaired if possible.
I don't know much about ovens, but I'd imagine it's the heating element?
Do these things cost much to get fixed?
Thanks in advance.

Elements aren't dear, sometimes they're easy to replace & sometimes they aren't! Can you see the element? You can usually see the damage if it's gone.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0

Thanks EssexExile. Just had a look with a torch, and the oven element is not obviously visible. I'd imagine it's concealed behind the fan at the rear of the oven.0 -
Have a look on espares, great part price and loads of videos showing you how to fit parts. I did my oven element for £16 and took about 5 mins, nearly as easy as changing a lightbulb.
Smeg element £19.99

@WorriedJim. Good plan, that I never considered. Once I've identified the oven model, I'll see if I can do it. Let's face it, an oven can't be that complicated!0

The fan cover usually comes off with a few screws. If your lucky the element can be changed from the front.pennypincher3562 wrote: »Thanks EssexExile. Some good 'how to' on Youtube as well for this sort of thing.0
