Dodgy powersellers untouchable?

I've noticed several power sellers on ebay who sell pirated comic scans or game cds are being left to trade on ebay. Even when I report them, ebay refuse to remove their listings. Surely there are laws being broken by both the seller and ebay.

to be fair, the examples enclosed I am pretty certain are all classed as public domain information - what you are actually buying is the time and effort it has taken the seller to compile the data onto one easy to use format.
There are loads of products like this - if it is readily available in the public domain for free, then somebody will sell it for a "compilation fee" - Fruit machine emulators, unlocking software, wholesale lists, watch TV on your PC type things. It may not be a breach of copyright as such, but it's morally murky territory.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -

The items being sold are still under copyright. It is illegal what the sellers are doing, they are selling material that infringe on copyright laws.
I reported other similar sellers too and they were closed but when it comes to powersellers ebay turn their back.0 -
Ebay's continuous double standards is a joke. On many occasions it prevents competition as the power sellers can continue to sell questionable items and report anyone who tries to sell the same items.
I once tried to sell a Region 1 dvd I bought online but my listing was removed, sure enough there was a powerseller selling the same item whose listing was never removed no matter how many times I reported it.0 -

What did you report him for? Just curious. My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -

I reported him via the Vero link as my item was removed via Vero.0 -
Don't think it works like that... you can only get things removed if you ARE the VERO.My TV is broken!

And are you sure they didn't have the Vero rights to sell the item?
There are a number of sellers on ebay who legitimately have bought the rights to products, names and Intellectual property.
Reporting other sellers under Vero rules is pointless unless you are the vero rights owner.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0
