Gladstones Chasing PCN

Hello All,
There is so much info available about PCN's but I haven't got time to sift through. I am hoping someone can assist quickly so I decided to post a new thread.
In a nutshell I have a letter from Gladstones stating they have been instructed to collect the debt otherwise CCJ and all that. I have ignored all previous correspondence in relation to this, mainly because I have been working away.
Due to my work commitments etc I don't have much spare time to spend appealing so I am looking for a simple, effective response I can copy and paste to challenge the threat, also who I should send it to, preferably online.
My other alternative is to pay it and get on with my life, which is very tempting but I hate being ripped off, that's what made me post this.
If you can help that would be great,
Cheers All,
Moonbeast

So what you are really saying is that you don't have time to read the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread, and you would like someone to pick out the relevant bits for you and re-write them here?

Please tell me I have misunderstood you.

This is not that kind of situation, it is not painting by numbers, there is no silver bullet. If you are not prepared to put in the hours it would be better to pay up. These shysters can take people to court and ruin their credit history.

This is an entirely unregulated industry which is scamming the public with inflated claims for minor breaches of contracts for alleged parking offences, aided and abetted by a handful of low-rent solicitors.

Parking Eye, CPM, Smart, and another company have already been named and shamed, as has Gladstones Solicitors, and BW Legal, (these two law firms take hundreds of these cases to court each year). They lose most of them, and have been reported to the regulatory authority by an M.P. for unprofessional conduct

Hospital car parks and residential complex tickets have been especially mentioned.

The problem has become so rampant that MPs have agreed to enact a Bill to regulate these scammers. Watch the video of the Second Reading in the HofC recently.

and complain in the most robust terms to your MP. With a fair wind they will be out of business by Christmas.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

There are over 55 threads on here that are active over the last 24 hours. Why do you think that regulars on here have the time to hold the hand of someone who has declared that they don't have the time to invest in sorting out their own mess?

Sorry, not the most intelligent opening post I have read.

If you don't have the time then presumably you didn't have the time to take action before it got to this stage. Your choice would seem to be

    1. Hire a lawyer to defend the case.

    2. Pay up as you suggest.

    From the top,
you got a parking charge notice, but ignored all correspondence, now you have a letter from Gladstones?

If you want some help, then we need some information, there is a way to kill this off quickly and that involves a landowner cancellation, but without knowing who what and why adivcine on this is hard if not impossible to give.

    Name of parking company?
Reason for getting a parking charge in the first place?
Whos car park was the vehicle parked in?
why was the vehicle parked there?

As with most things there could be various drivers who could have parked, do not guess as to who this could be refer to it as the driver parked, or the vehicle was parked in

As well as being the first thing you ageed to read before posting anything here, the Newbies Sticky is actually the fastest way to get help on this board. All the info you need is there and you don't even have to wait for a reply. :)

You could actually copy & paste a reply to a LBC, direct from the NEWBIES thread. Could have saved the time of even starting this thread, copied & pasted a response from there and 'job done'.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
