Ryanair - yet more awfulness

This is already known about, I'm sure, but just for the record:
Flight out on Wednesday 11th. Flight back on Wednesday 18th. One week apart.
Only outward flight check in and boarding pass allowed UNLESS you pay the £5 bung.
Is it just me or is the O'Leary grotesquerie going massively out of its way to shoo people off to Easyjet or wherever? If most Ryanair customers are only going to them on cost grounds, they are surely living dangerously with this tactic.
As for their latest high jinks regarding cabin bags...

you don't have to check in before you leave unless you are travelling somewhere with no internet. Internet cafes/hotel etc...majority of airlines allow online checking/boarding pass only 24 hours before the flight.0 -
According to this you can check in for both flights as they are within 15 days of each other.

Second paragraph
If you are flying twice with Ryanair within 15 days of each other, you can check-in for both flights at the same time. You can print your boarding pass up to 2 hours before your scheduled flight.0 -

Used to be the case. No longer true according to the online chat guy this morning. They've tightened it all up.0 -
Numerous airlines a lot less generous.0

So if you could get an Easyjet (or whoever) flight for comparable money, why didn't you?
What I suggest is that in many cases, the Ryanair price, even after adding seat selection, priority boarding etc etc is STILL LESS than their competitors.
That is why they are gaining 10% extra customers per year
Now they dont make the Boing 737. Boing make it and it really only has overhead storage for 90 trolley type cabin bags despite having seating for 189 passengers.
Simple maths tells us that thats less than half.0 -

Since what you're complaining about has been in place for years I'd say for a long time. If this was something that would drive passengers away we would have seen it by now.0 -
So just print out the return boarding passes at your hotel or an internet cafe. It's not really a major problem.Charlton_King wrote: »Used to be the case. No longer true according to the online chat guy this morning. They've tightened it all up.0
