I did make it. But a very small turn out. I took £26.60 but £12 entry so £14.60 'profit' better than a kick in the teeth but for 4+ hours 'work' not the best result haha.

I've packed for that job. Will be heading out at 4pm. Just eating some noodles and need to get changed first.

    Hey BTS,

    Welcome to the forums :)

I think I worked out you have to sell for 99p and postage to make money on eBay:
    £0.99 + £2.85 = £3.84
    eBay takes 39p
    Postage £2.85
    PayPal 20p
So you receive 40p. Minus packaging: I usually use an old bag for life so 10p. So profit is 30p. It's such a pain to do all of that for 30p... And then the buyer complains and wants a refund. Car boot was definitely better :)

You just need to work out how long you've got left with the accounting debt and count it down. Then hopefully you'll less stressed as it's counting down. Keep going - you're doing great x

    Thanks Kitten,

Yeah, I was even ok with those tiny profits as they all add up. But then when I automatically pay a listing fee for items that didn't sell in a month when listing them as "until they sell" nowhere did it mention I would have a new listing fee for it to carry onto the next month. Certainly not that I noticed anyway.

After tomorrow I will only have 1 payment left to HMRC but still the accountants to pay after that's done. However, it does put a smile on my face every time I remember there's only 1 payment left! Haha

Oh me too - I have sold loads for 99p but it's definitely easier with the car boot. Just trying to give you motivation :)

I've taken the plunge and put my Pokemon cards up for sale. Full base set which I personally collected probably around 17 years ago. I've avoided selling it up until now but needs must. Finishing that collection is genuinely one of my happiest childhood memories. (Yes, I'm a nerd).

    It should get £120 - 220.

    Direct debits account: £10.42
    Spending account: £5.12
    Business account 1: £9.99
    Business account 2: £35.69

My HMRC payment, mortgage and DVLA payments came out today so that was a fair chunk. But this is by far the worst I've been on the 1st of any month so far.

Business account 1 will go overdrawn within the next week if I don't get something into that.
Also need to find the rest of my direct debits for the month.

Probably just going to list as much junk on gumtree and sphock as I can. I should be working but short term is more important than long term at the min.

It would be nice to just have 1 day off from worrying/thinking about money. It's the first thing I think about when I wake up, it's what I go to sleep thinking about and to be honest I often wake up in the middle of the night worrying.

The end is in sight, at least of the debt anyway. Onward and upwards guys. There's always a way.

Today has been a very good day.
I still have a happy buzz from a good first date yesterday but on top of that:

My little lady is back home with me, until Saturday.
Ebay bidding is at £67.05 on my Pokemon cards already with 5 days left on them.
Had 2 bookings today for Friday at £29.99 each. So + £60 on Friday too as long as neither cancel.

Yeah, probably my best day in a while. Kinda feels like the cloud has lifted a little.

    Well...

    Today isn't a good day.
Can't believe I forgot about those ebay listing/selling fees after just complaining about them on an earlier post. Direct debit account is now overdrawn by £40 and that's after transferring every penny I have from the spending account too.

I sick of this now, it's like a full time job just trying to juggle my finances on a daily basis to make sure this account has enough for that and blah blah.... URGH.

Going to have to borrow something to cover it. I get charged if it's not back in credit by 2pm or the end of the day or something like that.
