What would the difference between say Lindsell train and Fundsmith or is it just down to the fund managers picks of companies ?

Both are very similar in their investment style, returns and stocks they hold. They share defensive names like Unilever, Diageo and some tech names like Paypal, Sage and Intuit all of which are fairly defensive too.

Lindsell Train has 25% in Japan but only a small allocation to Europe. Fundsmith has 20% in Europe and more in the US. The thing is that much of this regional allocation doesn't really matter as most of the companies are global.

Fundsmith has a greater allocation to healthcare (not drugs but typically small disposables). Lindsell train has quite a few media stocks - Disney, ManU, Juventus, WWE

I hold one, and my wife the other - they are my top 2 funds as the only ones I can never envision selling

Thanks all, I think I'm swaying towards doing LISAs with Lindsell train global equities through HL.
One for me and one for my wife.

The other option is one of us go with LT and the other Blackrock Consensus 100.

One thing I have noticed with LT Global Equities on the HL platform is that they do not have the Acc option. How do i get round this as I want them to reinvest my dividends back into the fund......

There is no Acc class of this fund but you can instruct HL to automatically reinvest the dividends for you via Income Instructions in your Account Settings. There is a charge of 1% (min £1) for this or if you are especially MSE you can have it Held on Account and save up until you have £100 :)
